“Terrestrial Trunked Radio” (TETRA) is a digital radio communication standard designed for use in commercial and public-sector environments — including public safety agencies and organizations (BOS), industrial operations and large transportation networks.

Alongside secure communication through TEA encryption, the digital TETRA standard offers outstanding voice quality, wide-area coverage and reliable individual and group communication for all authorized radio users.

Pagers for public safety agencies and organizations (BOS) are designed to ensure the rapid alerting and notification of emergency response personnel. Modern devices are compact, rugged and deliver excellent transmission and reception performance along with extended operating times.

Received messages are displayed directly on the device screen and can be acknowledged or responded to immediately. Modern security standards and encryption protocols ensure reliable and up-to-date user protection.

Special ATEX-certified radio systems (in accordance with the European ATEX Directive and IECEx standards) are required for use in potentially explosive environments, enabling safe and reliable radio communication under hazardous conditions.
Compared to conventional radio solutions, ATEX radio systems are additionally designed with a more robust and durable construction.

Whether migrating to the digital TETRA standard, modernizing existing siren infrastructures or redesigning alarm concepts, the TETRA Siren Control Receiver (mTSE) provides the flexible foundation for a wide range of applications and can be individually configured to meet specific operational requirements.
It enables the integration of analog radio switching receivers into digital environments and supports the transition to digital BOS alerting systems.

The mTSE complies with the requirements of the Bavarian State Government’s special funding program for digital radio communication, as well as the operational and security requirements defined by the Authorized Agency Bavaria (AS-BY).

Professional audio accessories for communication between emergency response personnel are as diverse as the operational environments in which they are used. Application scenarios include communication headsets for helmet-mounted use, integration into breathing apparatus masks or covert wearing configurations, all featuring effective suppression of background noise and loud interference sources.

Mobile incident guidance systems with integrated radio control, such as LARDIS:ONE, enable convenient and modern operation of TETRA BOS radio devices directly within emergency vehicles (cars, vans and trucks) via a structured and intuitive user interface.
Advanced status management allows status updates to be entered directly on the display while clearly visualizing the selected status. Incident destinations and operational information can be transmitted directly from the control center to the navigation device via the TETRA radio network, enabling immediate route guidance to the scene.

Global voice communication via satellite networks provides independence from terrestrial networks and infrastructures — virtually anywhere in the world. Communication can be organized through individually configurable regions and user groups. With Push-to-Talk (PTT) functionality, operation is intuitive and comparable to conventional handheld radio devices.

Modern radio control solutions are now centrally managed and designed for intuitive operation. Radio control systems such as LARDIS provide a clear and centralized overview of all connected radio devices through a graphical user interface.
Innovative operation and communication of connected analog and digital radio systems are enabled via touch displays, desktop control units, PTT buttons and headsets. Optional integration of GSM, VoIP and DECT telephony, as well as building management and control systems, is also possible.

In the field of ICT hardware solutions for professional operational environments — particularly for vehicle integration — requirements differ significantly from those of consumer applications. This includes industrial-grade network components such as Ethernet switches, telephone systems and LTE gateways with modular designs and customizable interface combinations, as well as professional antenna, filter and coupler solutions for the implementation of safety-critical and redundant radio communication systems.

The primary purpose of BOS in-building and facility coverage systems is to ensure reliable communication for emergency response personnel in public buildings, event and sports venues, shopping centers and tunnels — precisely when it matters most. The range of in-building radio communication solutions includes standalone Direct Mode Operation (DMO) systems, network-connected repeater systems and in-building coverage base stations operating in Trunked Mode Operation (TMO).
